GPS Relay ("the app") sends your iPhone's GPS position to your own iPad over Bluetooth. It requires no account and collects no personal information: your data stays on your devices.
On the iPhone, the app reads the device's location while the relay is
switched on, including while the screen is locked. The position is sent over
Bluetooth only to the iPad you paired, and from there to the flight app on
that same iPad. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it never leaves
your devices over the internet. STOP switches location off
completely.
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy to link your iPhone and iPad. Each iPhone shows a 4-letter code so you can check that the iPad is linked to the right iPhone. The code and the pairing are stored only on your devices.
Settings, the pairing, the free-trial time used and a flight log (GPS accuracy, link events, battery level) are stored locally using standard iOS storage. The flight log leaves your device only if you share it yourself. Deleting the app removes this data, except the free-trial counter, which is kept in the device keychain so that reinstalling does not reset the trial.
The optional one-time unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app never sees your payment details.
The app has no advertising, no analytics and no third-party SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date.
